beware of scam e-mails
When you receive an e-mail from a potential student, watch for signs that may indicate the message is a scam: odd wording, numerous typos, and/or a request for personal or financial information. yoga service conference at omega
Our own Vandita Kate Marchesiello, Director of Professional Associations, will be sharing information about the Teaching for Diversity fund at the first annual Yoga Service Conference, offered by Omega and the Yoga Service Council, May 18–20 at Omega. It’s an opportunity to forge relationships, build skills, and draw inspiration from leading teachers who work with underserved communities, including Seane Corne, Beryl Bender Birch, and many more.
Dear friend,

This month, for the first time, we're sending our monthly e-newsletter to all alumni of the Kripalu Schools of Yoga and Ayurveda—our entire sangha. We'll be sending you this update four times each year, offering news from the Schools and Professional Associations. We hope you'll find this information exciting and informative, and we'd love your feedback on what you'd like to hear about in future newsletters.

In this issue, Andrew speaks with Jill's List founder Jill Shah about the exciting possibilities her venture offers yoga teachers and Ayurvedic practitioners, plus we clue you in on the expanded group discount program. To take advantage of these benefits, become a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association or the Kripalu Ayurvedic Practitioners Association, and join a community of more than 2,300 fellow alumni.

We also invite you to join the conversation on the Kripalu Professional Associations Community forum. This month, members are talking about a particularly intriguing subject: addressing the topic of God in your classes. Get in on the discussion today!

With love,

Active KYTA members who come to Kripalu as a group now get discounts on cushier digs!

Group members taking advantage of the discount are no longer limited to shared-standard and dormitory accommodations, with the exception of summer weekends. (Summer is defined as Memorial Day through Labor Day, and weekends as Friday and Saturday nights.)
