The Dirty Dozen and the Clean Fifteen
The Dirty Dozen is a list of the foods highest in pesticide use and residues when they are grown with conventional (non-organic) methods. The Clean Fifteen includes those produce items that are low in pesticides, even when grown conventionally. The Kripalu Kitchen always chooses organic when serving foods listed on the Dirty Dozen list. Here’s a complete listing of each to help you choose wisely at the supermarket.
