TFD Media
Media coverage and press about your classes
We hope you have a wonderful experience and that your classes in the community touch many hearts.
You have the means to help the Teaching for Diversity program continue into the future. When you share your experiences as a yoga teacher—and your stories of the lives that are changed by yoga—with people in your community, you are helping to create a base of support for the program.
Word of mouth is great, but articles that appear in local and regional publications can reach even more people. Articles about your classes and photos of your students that appear in newspapers, newsletters, and various flyers and publications originating from your host organization (the place where you teach) get the word out to people who have the means to support the Teaching for Diversity Program with a donation to Kripalu. Remember, when you send press releases or discuss with your host organization how to publicize your classes, use the phrase "Funding for classes has been made available through the generous donations of the patrons of Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts." This phrase can be used in all forms of communication.
Please send a copy of your press release to the KYTA office. See a sample press release from a grant recipient to use as a guide when creating a press release about your TFD classes.
The more people who hear about the Teaching for Diversity program, the more support the program will receive—enabling it to thrive into the future. Help spread the good news!
Please don’t hesitate to contact us at kyta@kripalu.org if we can support your efforts in any way.
