Grant and Scholarship Opportunities

Teaching for Diversity Program
The Teaching for Diversity Program provides grants and scholarships to members of KYTA and the International Association of Black Yoga Teachers (IABYT). Members receive grants and scholarships to teach in disadvantaged schools or to diverse populations such as ethnic minorities and those with social, economic, or physical challenges. Learn more.

Rachel Greene Memorial Fund
The Rachel Greene Memorial Fund, established in memory of yoga teacher Rachel Greene, awards scholarships to yoga teachers and elementary school classroom teachers for training to bring yoga into disadvantaged public schools. Learn more.

Membership Scholarship
We offer a limited number of partial scholarships for KYTA membership to individuals who demonstrate financial need. For more information, contact kpa@kripalu.org or call 413-448-3461. KYTA Conference Scholarship
We offer a limited number of partial scholarships to attend the annual Yoga Teachers Conference for individuals who demonstrate financial need. Scholarships for Continuing Education
KYTA members pursuing Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training 500-Hour Certification or Kripalu School of Ayurveda Trainings are encouraged to apply for financial aid through the Kripalu Schools of Yoga and Ayurveda (KSYA). Kripalu offers scholarships for all of its programs. While there are income guidelines, Kripalu understands that professional trainings require more of an investment, and is willing to consider requests for financial aid based on other factors as well. Kripalu Professional Associations Community Forum
Join our new, free online forum, where yoga teachers and enthusiasts alike have a place to talk about all things yoga. Bring your questions (and answers) to the forum. Simply click on the topic of interest on the forum’s home page and post your entry. As soon as someone replies, you’ll receive an e-mail notification. You can easily "subscribe" to topics that interest you, and when someone posts a question or comment in one of your areas of interest, you’ll be notified via e-mail and can quickly check out the new information or respond to someone else’s question. Kin-yoga group list

Order the Kripalu mailing list for your specific geographic area to help you more effectively promote your classes and workshops to those already familiar with Kripalu. A signed usage agreement and copy approval is required. You’ll be supplied with mailing labels. Minimum cost is $50 for up to 1,000 labels; shipping is free. The KYTA Conference
An annual conference that brings together yoga teachers from Kripalu and other traditions for inspiration, training, and community.

Come to Kripalu For Less

Discount on housing at Kripalu Center
Enjoy 10% off shared standard and dormitory accommodations every time you come to Kripalu Center. Just mention you are a KYTA member when making your reservation to take advantage of this discount. Discount is not applicable if you’ve received a scholarship to attend your program. Other restrictions may apply.

Referral Raffle
Every time you refer a student to Kripalu Center, you increase your chances of winning a $500 credit applicable to housing, tuition, and healing arts services at Kripalu Center. We will randomly select 3 winners each quarter. Your credit is good for 3 years after it is issued, and it is transferable. To participate, ask the students you refer to Kripalu Center to mention your Yoga Teacher ID# or name when making their reservation. You may print out these labels (add your YT#) and put them on business cards, catalogs, and marketing materials for your student’s easy reference.

Group Discount Program
When you bring a group of 5–9 of your yoga students, family members, or personal friends, including yourself, to Kripalu Center, your accommodations* are FREE and the guests in the group receive 20% off accommodations*. Bring 10 or more, including yourself, and your accommodations* and tuition are FREE while the others in the group receive 20% off their accommodations*. Here’s how to organize a group.

* Each group member will receive a discount of 20% off any accommodation with the exception of summer weekends. During summer weekends discounts are only applicable towards dormitory and standard shared accommodations. Summer is defined as Memorial Day thru Labor Day and weekends as Friday and Saturday nights. As the group leader and KYTA member, if the group is 5–9 people in size, you will receive 100% off your housing in a dormitory or shared standard room. For a group of 10 or more, the group leader discount is 100% off your stay (room, meals, and tuition) in a dormitory or shared standard room. The group leader discount only applies to dorm or shared standard room accommodations. Upgrades to other accommodations will qualify for the same housing discount as other group attendees.

The group discount is not transferable to any other person or set of dates and cannot be combined with any other discount. Discount is not applicable for the KYTA Conference, Kripalu School of Ayurveda trainings, 500-hour yoga teacher training modules, mid-week Healthy Living immersion programs (such as the Fitness and Yoga Retreat, Yoga for Life, or the Integrative Weight Loss), Panchakarma, children’s registrations, commuter registrations, or one-night stays. Registrations must be made at the beginning of all applicable professional training programs. No group may register after part one of any sequential training program. Other restrictions may apply.

The licensee is the only one eligible for the discount. The Kripalu Shop must have a copy of the physical resale license on file—not just the number.
