Reiki

Reiki is an ancient and sacred healing art that enables a deeply meditative and healing experience for body, mind, and spirit. Reiki is received fully clothed through a series of gentle yet powerful hand placements. Tension, stress, and pain melt away under the warm and nurturing touch of the therapist. Chakras and major systems of the body are given concentrated life force energy, enhancing the body’s inherent power to heal.

Energy Balancing

Therapists combine specific hand placements with individual intuition and their unique skill sets to create personalized sessions that facilitate the movement of energy through the pathways of the body. By contacting the body’s primary centers of energy, and connecting points of polarity, the natural flow of vitality is balanced and strengthened. This work can support overall well-being, enable your body to function more efficiently, and bring you into a state of deep relaxation with a calm mind. This session is received fully clothed.
50 minutes: $70; 80 minutes: $115


Integrated Energy Therapy®

Your therapist combines angelic energy with specific hand positions and light acupressure in various locations on the physical body to gently and easily lift suppressed cellular memory from within your physical and energetic body. This treatment is ideal to clear energy blocks that have accumulated from physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual trauma. Through releasing these blocks, you will begin to feel more self-empowered, spiritually connected, and able to move through life more easily. This treatment is done fully clothed.
50 minutes $75, 80 minutes $120

The first thing my therapist asked me was if I felt any strong connection to a higher being (specifically, angels). I had to be honest, so I told her I didn’t believe in that sort of thing. She assured me that wouldn’t matter. For this treatment, believing in angels isn’t necessary in order to feel its effectiveness. Instead, it’s about trusting your therapist to allow the healing work to happen regardless of what you believe.

I lay down on the table, fully clothed, and the therapist got to work. The gentle pressure of her hands was so soothing, I found myself drifting in and out of sleep. She told me that her initial touch was to get the energy flowing in that area, then after putting light pressure on the specific area, she pulled her hand slowly away from my body, flicking her wrist as if tossing something away. She said that energy can feel thick or hard, like a wall, and she’ll work on the same area, pulling and flicking until the energy felt cleared and light.

As I lay there for the 50 minute session, feeling more and more relaxed, I realized that my expectations were all about what the treatment would feel like. I didn’t think at all about what I’d learn. Staying up near my head, my therapist told me she could feel energy blocks in my throat and near my shoulders. I’d been feeling lately like I was biting my tongue, keeping my opinion to myself, which could explain blockages in my throat. The shoulders, she told me, represent what we think or are taught that we should do and who we think we should be.

I felt myself slowly opening up to a new way of thinking, as I wondered when I might physically feel any different. She told me that unlike a massage, where you might immediately feel looser and more relaxed, the effects of IET are more gradual. And they did dawn on me over the next few days. I realized I felt more confident about voicing my opinions, about saying what needed to be said. I felt more productive at work and as a result, less stressed.

I would definitely try the IET treatment again. Continuous treatments are said to deepen the results, which I imagine would only improve my productivity, boost my confidence, and open my mind to new ways of thinking.

Craniosacral Therapy

The therapist’s deep, sensitive touch locates blocks in the cerebral spinal fluid that surround the central nervous system. Then, through the gentle manipulation of bones and membranes, restrictions are eased and all systems flow more freely. This treatment is good for many conditions including migraines, headaches, TMJ, chronic and acute pain, arthritis, memory loss, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, ear infections and depression.

Kripalu Master-Level Energy Work

Experience what each master-level energy therapist has to offer from their individual toolboxes ancient and newly-emerging energy techniques. This work initiates and facilitates a subtle process of healing and self-discovery within the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of your being. Our therapists are skilled in an extensive range of Eastern and Western energy modalities that help clear and strengthen your energy field and aid you in accessing your inner wisdom. This treatment is the perfect way to experience a variety of techniques from our wonderful energy workers.
110 minutes: $195

To schedule Healing Arts services:

While at Kripalu Center, you may schedule a service at the Healing Arts Desk, located on the first floor and open from 8:00 am–7:30 pm daily. Kripalu bodywork appointments are available Monday thru Friday 11:00 am–9:00 pm and 9:00 am–9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Kripalu one-on-one consultations are available Monday thru Saturday 9:00 am–6:00 pm. We recommend you schedule your Healing Arts services one to two weeks in advance of your stay to ensure availability. From outside Kripalu call: 888-738-1822, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–7:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm (EST).

Gratuities are not included in the price of your service and are greatly appreciated by our dedicated therapists.

Cancellation Policy You may cancel or change your appointment time up to 24 hours in advance of your treatment. For changes or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a 50% forfeiture fee. If you fail to show up for your treatment, the full charge will apply. Please note Treatment time is not extended for late arrivals; this includes late arrivals due to program presenters running over their scheduled time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes after your scheduled time, your appointment is automatically cancelled and the full charge is applied.



The Healing Arts Department at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health supports health and healing through massage, skin- and body-care, Ayurvedic treatments, lifestyle consultations, and more. Appointments are available for guests taking a program at Kripalu as well as for visitors (who may want to consider a Kripalu Day Pass).
