Save every time you visit Kripalu

Fall 2007

by Tresca Weinstein

We've been working hard this year creating new ways to help you save money whenever you come to Kripalu. Now we're ready to unveil the restructured Group Discount Program, the new Referral Raffle, and—perhaps most exciting—an across-the-board discount that you'll receive every time you visit. These new and increased discounts on housing and tuition, available to KYTA members only, will replace the former Guest Referral Program—and we hope they'll make your life easier.

Beginning on January 1, 2008, you'll receive 10 percent off your housing fees every time you stay at Kripalu, no matter how often you're here. You don't have to do anything to receive this discount (except keep your KYTA membership current.) Just mention that you're a KYTA member when you make your reservation (some restrictions apply). The discount is good for both shared standard and dormitory accommodations. Simple, elegant, reliable—and a lot less red tape.

The Group Discount Program continues to offer significant savings when you bring guests to Kripalu. Many of our teachers take advantage of this program by bringing groups of students to Kripalu throughout the year. When you bring a group of 5 to 9 guests to Kripalu, including yourself, your housing is free. When you bring a group of 10 or more, including yourself, your housing and tuition are free. In either case, group members receive 20 percent off their housing. What better reason do you need to gather friends and students together for a Kripalu R&R or training?

Programs Administrator Shaun Laframboise and Membership Coordinator Amber LaGess, who are always putting their heads together and coming up with brilliant ideas, conceived of the Referral Raffle. Here's how it works: Beginning January 1, 2008, every time you refer a student to Kripalu, you increase your chances of winning a $500 credit applicable to housing, tuition, and healing arts services at Kripalu. We will randomly select three winners each quarter. Your credit is good for three years after it's issued, and it's transferable. To participate, ask the students you refer to Kripalu to mention your Yoga Teacher ID number or your name when making their reservation.

We sincerely hope these members-only discounts will encourage you to visit more often, with less strain on your wallet. (Also keep in mind that Kripalu offers financial aid for many of its programs; visit kripalu.org and click on "Guest Information" for details.) Don't forget to read the full listing of benefits that come with your membership on page 8. For more information about your member discounts, write us at kyta@kripalu.org or call 413-448-3202.
