Full Moon Yoga
Gloria Drayer

Inspired by the full moon yoga classes Gloria attended as a Kripalu resident, this hour-long videotape is designed to bring women together in ritual and to reconnect them to the relationship between the lunar phases and their bodies and spirits. Filmed in White Sands, N.M., the experience begins with warm-ups and moves into a dynamic standing sequence followed by a central section devoted to exploration of the seven chakras through sounding, color visualization and postures. Gloria continually brings the focus back to the moon as it relates to alignment, energy and intention. An insert detailing postures and modifications is a bonus, as is the footage of White Sands' breathtaking expanse of desert, mountains and sky. To order, call 505-275-6638 or visit www.yogasimpleandsacred.com.

Inner Light
Patricia Buttner

This audiotape begins with a warning not to listen while driving or operating machinery, and with good reason. Patricia's voice is so soothing that you may find yourself in a pleasantly altered state before you're halfway through the gentle yoga stretches on Side A, not to mention the relaxation and guided meditation on Side B. Patricia delineates the benefits of each stretch and reminds listeners to stay within their comfort zone and to tune in to sensation, making this an ideal tape for beginning practitioners of yoga and/or meditation and for those managing stress or illness. To order, call 781-400-1966.

Yoga Primer
Evelyn Zak

If you only have a short time available for a daily practice, but you'd like a well-rounded yoga experience—or if you know someone who fits this description—then this audiotape is your answer. Evelyn offers two 30-minute sequences to choose from; both begin with a centering, warm-ups and the Mountain pose and conclude with relaxation. Side A includes Yoga Mudra, Half Moon, Bridge and Wind-relieving Pose; Side B has Balancing Knee to Chest, Boat, Child and Knee-down Twist. Evelyn has a relaxed, conversational style. To order or for information about Evelyn's new audiotape to be released this year, call 732-996-8988 or e-mail evzak@yahoo.com.
