Karla Jackson-Brewer

Karla Jackson-Brewer, MS, is a feminist therapist and professor at Rutgers University in the Women’s and Gender Studies, and Africana Studies Departments. An advanced student of Lama Tsultrim Allione, she has been practicing Tibetan Buddhism for the past 21 years. She authored the essays Spiritual Attunement in a Secular World, and What’s a Nice Colored Girl Like You Doing in a Temple Like This? She is an emotional intelligence coach for Star Factor, Inc.; a fellow and vice president of the board of the Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership; and cofounder of Sine Qua Non: Allies in Healing, a therapy practice in New York City.
