Beto Perez

Beto Perez began his career as a fitness instructor in his home city of Cali, Colombia. Zumba was born when he forgot his traditional aerobics music and improvised with salsa and merengue tapes. Within several months of moving to the United States, his talent and magnetism landed him a job as an instructor at a prestigious local health club where his Zumba class soon became the most popular at the gym. He eventually teamed up with two entrepreneurs to create Zumba Fitness, LLC, and Zumba turned into a worldwide movement. Beto has sold more than 3.5 million DVDs, and there are 30,000 Zumba Fitness instructors in more than 35 countries.
