Miwaka Ohara

Miwaka Ohara was classically trained in authentic shiatsu in Kyoto, Japan. With more than 20 years of experience practicing shiatsu, she has run a highly successful acupuncture practice in Zurich, Switzerland for more than 10 years. She regularly gives mini-shiatsu treatments to her patients and offers self-care shiatsu prescriptions for them to take home. She specializes in Japanese Toyohari acupuncture, a style famous for its highly sensitive palpation/diagnostics. Miwaka regularly travels to Toyohari seminars in North America, Europe, and Japan to translate for masters of this school. In addition to being an acupuncturist and herbalist, Miwaka is also a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, holistic health educator, and licensed massage therapist.
