John J. Ratey

John J. Ratey, MD, associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Harvard’s Continuing Medical Education Program, maintains a private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is the author or coauthor of eight books, including Driven to Distraction, Shadow Syndromes, and A User’s Guide to the Brain. His research and synthesis of scientific principles have provided a wealth of understanding to the role of the brain-body connection. In his seminal work, Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain, Dr. Ratey makes a compelling case for exercise to optimize mental and physical health and unlock human potential.
