The Sacred Angels

Elaine O’Rourke, a yogaspirit® teacher, musician, and recording artist is continually inspired by the transformations that occur through yoga and how the magic of music can transport you to another dimension. Her new CD, Silence of Time, is an collection of songs and chants which exude divine love that connect you to your heart center. Originally from Ireland, Elaine’s angelic voice and guitar playing invoke the mystical within you. Her compassion and joy are evident as she encourages you to reach for that blissful state and to be fully present in all aspects of life.

Sonny Lalchandani found a love for Indian Classical music at a young age and began his practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been performing from the age of fifteen and frequently performs both Indian Classical music as well as all other genres on sitar. He is currently studying at the New England Conservatory for his bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Improvisation where he is being exposed to jazz, western classical, and other genres from around the world.

Kim Valeri, ERYT, is a master yoga teacher, healer, spiritual counselor, songwriter, and musician. She is a portal for transformational healing, a pathfinder for awakening consciousness, and a bridge for those seeking connection. Kim founded yogaspirit® studios to share the teachings of yoga from her home base in New England, and has supported students throughout the world using yoga, music, and naadam as healing art forms for personal transformation. As a teacher, Kim is known for blending spiritual compassion with technical proficiency, inspiring students with her strength, grace, and service. As a member of the Sacred Angels Kirtan Band she brings her gifts of word, music, and message and a deep, melodic voice, harmonium, and percussion rhythm to the bands unique sound.

Robin Buyer is a music history and analysis major with minors in ethnomusicology and bass performance at Northeastern University. As a musician, he has performed with a wide variety of ensembles such Gamelan Si Betty at Harvard, Gamelan Galak-Tika at MIT, the Indian Classical Music Ensemble at NEC, and the Fusion Ensemble at Northeastern University. While Robin also plays guitar and tabla, he can be seen most frequently playing electric bass with his band Fat City Bird in the Boston area.

Joe Froeber, RYT, is a music technology student at Northeastern University. After nine years of classical piano lessons, Joe began playing the guitar at the age of 14. Although his main influences stem from the rock/pop genre, his studies of classical and jazz styles have kept his ears open for new musical opportunities, and he has played in a variety of ensembles, bands and Kirtans during his time as a guitarist and yogi.
