Irene Solea

Irene Soléa is a Boston-based chant artist who blends traditional and non-traditional kirtan with soulfully dynamic vocals and urban and world rhythms. Her band has quickly rooted itself within the kirtan/chant world. Initially trained as a jazz vocalist, Irene was introduced to the heart-opening potential of kirtan in 2000 and has been hooked ever since, offering concerts and workshops in diverse settings across the country and at her home base, South Boston Yoga. www.irenesolea.com
