Mira

Mira is a vocalist, musician, and poet who discovered at an early age that her true calling was uplifting humanity through love and devotional chanting. Over the last 10 years, she has become an active figure in the kirtan community. She has recorded on many well-known chanting CDs, sharing her ethereal vocals and displaying her talents on cajon, kartals (finger cymbals), and kaimini (south Indian bells). In 2006, Mira released her debut album, A Living Prayer. She is married to chant artist David Newman (Durga Das), with whom she travels extensively.
