Michael McIntyre

Michael McIntyre, PhD, teaches at the University of Winnipeg, where he loves undergraduate teaching and also enjoys supervising doctoral and post-doctoral work in psychology, neuropsychology, linguistics, physics, radiology, and neurophysiology. Michael received his PhD from the University of Minnesota, was a post-doc at Cornell, and founded and led the Functional Neuroimaging Program at Canada’s National Research Council. Research on pain led him to examine the importance of attention and emotion, which led his research toward mindfulness. Michael teaches psychoneuroimmunology and is Research Program Leader for the Compassion Project at the St. Boniface Research Centre. He teaches, with great satisfaction, Mindful Self-Compassion.
