Lavinia Plonka

Lavinia Plonka has explored movement in multiple expressions, including mime, Feldenkrais, Aikido, yoga, Bharatanatyam, Alba, and Gurdjieff’s Movements. A master teacher of the Feldenkrais Method®, she has passionately pursued the link between body, mind, spirit, and myth for more than 35 years. Her books, What Are You Afraid Of? and Walking Your Talk, have been translated into seven languages. Lavinia’s synthesis of the Feldenkrais Method with her research and studies resulted in the Creative Body, a process of self-study that emphasizes somatic awareness. She is director of Asheville Movement Center in North Carolina.
