How do we train ourselves to become more embodied, more present for a conscious experience of the here and now? Insight Meditation and breathwork are two profound, transformational tools to cultivate this awareness.

The first foundation of the Buddha’s teaching is “mindfulness of the body.” To facilitate mindfulness, this weekend retreat includes instruction in sitting and walking meditation, movement, discussion, and talks. Our practice of breathwork is a simple yet profound experience to awaken energy and release stress and trauma. As you breathe into sensation and feeling, you directly experience what it means to be fully alive with an open heart and expansive awareness.

Whether you are new to these practices or a seasoned practitioner, come savor the sanctuary of a community of like-minded practitioners. This workshop not only inspires and reinforces a regular meditation practice but also demonstrates how to apply your skills and insights to the challenges and joys of daily life.

Note This is an intensive retreat and includes periods of social silence and extended sessions that preclude participation in other Kripalu classes and activities.
