For runners who have already attended a ChiRunning workshop and have been practicing the technique.
Continue to build your ChiRunning foundation and take your workouts to the next level in this advanced ChiRunning workshop with Kathy Griest. Experience exercises and drills designed to leave you with a deeper body sense of what the ChiRunning technique feels like.
After a brief review of Level 1 principles, you learn the next key steps of ChiRunning, including
- Core strength drills and exercises
- How to do a speed workout using ChiRunning principles
- Working more efficiently on the hills
- The effectiveness of focusing on cadence
- How to master pelvic rotation
- Making your breathing more efficient
- Trail running techniques
- Use of Y’chi.
This inspiring program alternates between demonstrations, fun exercises, and technique drills designed to deepen your ChiRunning experience, so come dressed to run.
Recommended reading and viewing Danny Dreyer, ChiRunning (Fireside) and the ChiRunning DVD (Firelight Films). Kathy recommends that you reread the ChiRunning book prior to your workshop.
