Buddhist meditation has made its way into the American mainstream as a component of stress and pain management, therapy, techniques for improving concentration and focus, relaxation, and many other areas of health and well-being. Meditation practice also helps you develop compassion for yourself and others and a deeper understanding of your own mind, and can ultimately reveal the nature of reality.
Through the practice of meditation, it is possible to tame the wild mind and develop clarity, stability, and focus. This workshop introduces the principles and practice of shamatha (mindfulness) meditation, a powerful tool for bringing yourself present in your life.
