Can ordinary people live extraordinary lives? Yoga teaches us that we can. Join author, psychotherapist, and Kripalu Yoga teacher Stephen Cope to delve into the heart of yoga, a millennia-old wisdom tradition organized around a systematic investigation of this question.
The 2,000-year-old scripture called the Yoga Sutras, written by the sage Patanjali, expounds on the principles and practices of extraordinary living. In this program, we explore the philosophy and psychology of Patanjali’s eight-limbed path of yoga, and its relevance for the contemporary yoga practitioner—along with spending at least two hours a day in posture practice. Through this blend of lecture and practice, we examine the nature of the mind, the roots of suffering, and the possibility of living at your maximum potential of body, mind, and spirit.
