Kripalu School of Ayurveda Application Packet

Entrance Requirements

Applications are reviewed by the Professional Training Admissions Committee on a rolling basis to determine that students meet the entrance requirements outlined below.

Accepted students must

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Submit a completed program application and the required program application fee
  • Show proof of a high school diploma, GED, or provide a college transcript
  • Display English-language competency
  • Demonstrate the skills, abilities, emotional maturity, and mental stability to safely convey Kripalu Ayurvedic knowledge to others
  • Exhibit the ability to contribute to a safe and cohesive learning environment
  • Show medical and mental health readiness to fully participate in all required aspects of the program
  • Have previous exposure to Ayurveda.

Additional requirements for the Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant training include

  • Two semesters of college-level Anatomy and Physiology.

Additional requirements for the Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist include

  • Proof of successful completion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training from a Yoga Alliance-approved school.

Application Process

Admission to the program is determined on a rolling basis. Given high program demand, a maximum number of students per training, and limited housing availability, we strongly recommend that applicants submit applications as soon as possible.

To apply to any of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda trainings, please

  1. Review information on dates, costs, faculty, curricula, and general information about Kripalu on our website.
  2. Download and complete the Kripalu School of Ayurveda program application.
  3. Submit the completed application and a $25 application fee. Checks should be made payable to Kripalu Center. For international applicants, checks must be drawn on a domestic bank. If you prefer to make a payment by credit card, please call the Office of Professional Training at 1-800-848-8702.
  4. If after reviewing your application the Admissions Committee feels that you may be an appropriate fit for the program, your application will move to the next phase of the admissions process and a member of the Office of Professional Training will contact you to arrange a phone interview. Kripalu reserves the right to also require additional phone interviews, or additional supporting documentation if deemed necessary, to arrive at an admissions decision.
  5. Please wait for a letter from Kripalu clarifying our admissions decision. This letter should arrive by e-mail within two weeks of date of receipt of your application. If you do not have an e-mail address, we will send our decision by regular mail and as well as call to inform you of your status.
