Carol O’Neil

Board Chair
Everyone I speak with who has been to Kripalu tells me they leave there feeling replenished, enriched, invigorated, healthier, optimistic or inspired. Promoting awareness, possibilities, and compassion, Kripalu's many offerings inevitably enable people to experience new ways of gaining a positive and renewed sense of well-being. The ripple effect can be remarkable.

Carol O’Neil joined the Kripalu board with 30 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations. A graduate of Boston College, Carol began her career in accounting. She taught religion to children and teens in church parishes for 25 years while raising her four children, along with serving as an active volunteer and leader in her community. Carol has served as board and committee chair of non-profit organizations where she focused on effective governance, leadership, and development. She was Chair of Kripalu’s Governance Committee for three years and now also serves as Chair of the Executive Committee.

Introduced to Kripalu Yoga in 2002, Carol has participated in dozens of programs at Kripalu, and is 500-hour certified Kripalu Yoga teacher. Teaching regularly since 2010, she has recently integrated fundamental principles of Ayurveda into her classes. She and her husband, Jack, share several philanthropic endeavors, and spend as much time as possible with their seven grandchildren.
