Kevin T. Carlon

Kevin T. Carlon has nearly three decades of experience spanning the hospitality, sports, entertainment, arts, and tourism industries. He has led event creation and operations for professional leagues, city festivals, universities, public assembly facilities, tourist destinations, and not-for-profit organizations. Kevin served as the founding managing director of the Outside the Box (OTB) Festival, a multi-arts festival held in Boston’s public spaces. In 2016, OTB presented 3,000 artists over 10 days, generating an attendance of 650,000 and an economic impact of $64 million for the city. Kevin has also held leadership roles at the Palace Performing Arts Center in Albany, New York, and the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, on the site of the original Woodstock festival.

In the sports and events industries, he has held senior executive positions with the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club and the US Olympic Governing Bodies of Equestrian and Table Tennis. In the hospitality industry, Kevin was the founding executive director/CEO of the Christian County Convention Center in Kentucky; director of the Gaillard Center in Charleston, South Carolina; and a faculty member for the Center for Sports, Event, and Entertainment Management at the Hospitality College of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. A native of Berkshire County, Kevin holds a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Massachusetts.
