Summer Days at Kripalu

Outdoor Day Pass Program

It’s summer, and we can’t wait until the official opening of our campus to welcome you back! That’s why we’re inviting you to join us here on the beautiful grounds of Kripalu to rejoice in this most abundant season with our incredible faculty—one Outdoor Day Pass at a time. We do have limited availability, so register soon!


After this period of being isolated indoors, we can’t think of anything more healing than communing peacefully with nature and with each other. So, we’ve designed an outdoor experience that will emphasize reflection and nourishment—including all-level yoga, meditation, and other mindful (and playful!) outdoor activities. That nourishment also includes a boxed lunch from the Kripalu Kitchen, and the opportunity to get to know one another in small groups as you experience the best of Kripalu, together.  

All of our activities included in the Summer Days at Kripalu program are held outdoors. They include yoga, meditation, and mindful outdoor experiences, including hiking, kayaking, swimming, and more.
You can look forward to a simple, yet delicious packed lunch from 12:00–1:00 pm, featuring familiar nourishing favorites from the Kripalu Kitchen. You will be given gluten-free and vegan options. Lunch will be served on the terrace.
After nearly a year and a half of social distancing and Zoom calls, community and nature are just what we all need right now. During your day at the Kripalu grounds, you can expect community reunion and mindfulness in nature.

9:30–11:30 pm Mindful Water Experience on Lake Mahkeenac
(For example, kayaking or swimming)
12:00–1:00 pm Lunch & Free Time
1:00–2:00 Mindful Outdoor Experience on the Kripalu Grounds
(For example, labyrinth exploration, guided hiking, or walking)
2:30–3:00 pm Yoga Class
3:30–4:00 pm Community Gathering/
Guided Integration Experience

*Groups leave promptly at 9:00 am. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals. All our outdoor recreation is designed for all levels and we will ask you to stick with your community all day.

*Registration must be received by 3:00 pm EST the day before.
**Day Pass rates include your Kripalu Kitchen boxed lunch.



What To Bring

We will be outdoors all day, so definitely plan to wear layers, and choose comfortable clothing that works well whether you’re doing yoga or getting a little wet while kayaking, etc. Here’s a suggested list:

  • Yoga mat
  • Sneakers
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
  • Bathing suit and towel
  • Water bottle
  • An adventurous attitude!

Cancellation & Inclement Weather Policies

  • Guests who cancel up to 8 days in advance will receive a full refund, less a $50 processing fee. Guests who cancel within 7 and 1 days will get a credit on the account, less a $50.00 processing fee. No credit or refund will be issued or applied if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance of or on the day of.
  • In the event of inclement weather or a wash-out, we will cancel and give notification by email. Guests will automatically be issued a credit on account for the full amount. This credit is valid for one year and may be used towards any future experience. Alternatively, a refund may be requested through our Registration team within 30 days of the cancellation.


COVID Safety Protocols

  • In compliance with Massachusetts travel guidelines, all guests will be required to show proof of vaccination OR a Covid-19 test that produced negative results within 72 hours of your arrival. Guests will be asked a series of health questions and to sign a waiver at check-in. See full guidelines here.
  • Face coverings are not required while outdoors. Please note, we will be monitoring all updates to federal, state, and local guidelines on a daily basis. We anticipate these guidelines listed here to evolve.
