BodyReading 101 & 102

ELEVATE YOUR POSTURAL ASSESSMENT SKILLS

Join integrative bodyworker and author of Anatomy Trains,Tom Myers, for a skill-building workshop designed specifically for movement professionals and manual therapists.

Learn to identify and palpate skeletal relationships—the key to effective whole-body training and treatment strategies—and practice seeing specific tilts, rotations, and shifts that get hooked into our unconscious patterns and rob us of energy every day. You will explore:

  • How myofascia, joints, and nerves cocreate lasting postural patterns
  • Treatment differentiation for areas of concentric and eccentric tension
  • Basic functional assessments to see what moves and what does not
  • Easy charting of your findings

Each person is a complex set of interactions based on their history, injury, training, feelings, and attitude. Return home knowing how to assess these relationships accurately and unwind postural patterns that are causing pain and dysfunction, and inhibiting optimal movement in your students and patients.

NOTE Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains workshops are fast-moving and engaging, designed for working professionals with no time to waste. Please bring a notebook and a sense of humor. This course is approved for 14.5 CEs with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, 14.5 CECs with the National Pilates Certification Program, and 1.4 CEUs with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
