Advanced Training in Motivational Interviewing Beyond the Basics
- Presenter: Dana Sturtevant
For helping professionals and healthcare providers.
Becoming skilled in Motivational Interviewing (MI)—a practical, evidence-based approach for supporting people in making and sustaining behavior change—is like learning to play an instrument. It takes time and practice. This dynamic training is ideal for individuals who have learned the basics of MI and are using it in professional settings, including social workers, coaches, counselors, clergy, dietitians, care managers, yoga therapists, physicians, and many others.
Using demonstrations, videotape examples, “real-plays,” case studies, and small-group exercises, Dana Sturtevant guides you through a sequence of learning activities to move from basic competence with MI to more advanced clinical skillfulness in your particular area of work.
