The Alchemy of Writing Balancing the Shadow and the Light

This program is for all womxn and embraces an intergenerational, multicultural, multiracial, non-partisan community. You'll also get to enjoy additional workshops and keynotes; healthy and delicious food; yoga; dance; and more at no additional cost.

We all have stories. Some are stories we tell ourselves—have told ourselves our entire lives. Others are stories we tell others about ourselves. Some of us may have carried sorrow and secrets for decades. We may have become, as Jack Kornfield says, loyal to our suffering.

Come release the shadows of these stories, freeing them from your body and illuminating them onto the page. This is a unique opportunity with beloved writing teacher Nancy Slonim Aronie to clarify which stories serve you, which drain you, and which to let go of.

Nancy provides evocative writing prompts and a safe space to look within and write your personal narrative, find your authentic voice, and celebrate the joy of sounding just like you. Her only rule when someone reads their writing aloud is, “tell them what you loved.”
