Ayurveda in the Outdoors Connecting in the Elements of Nature

AYURVEDIC NATURE PRACTICES

Join lead Kripalu faculty Erin Casperson and Kripalu faculty Susan Wrba for a four-day mindful adventure and learn the ancient teachings of Ayurveda while immersing yourself in the forests and hills of Kripalu's stunning campus and surrounding woodlandYou will enjoy

  • The five elements of the great outdoors: space, wind, fire, water, and earth
  • Mindful hiking while opening your senses to the world around you
  • Eating in rhythm with the season to support digestion and health.

Ayurveda is an ancient science which seeks to help us align our lives with the rhythms and cycles of nature. Spending mindful time outdoors and attuning with nature's cycles is an accessible and powerful way to reduce stress, improve well-being, and find more joy in life. The average American now spends an average of 11 hours a day on a screen and more than 90% of their lives indoors. Erin and Susan will translate the teachings into pragmatic ways to apply the practices of Ayurveda into modern day life including sense care, seasonal and local eating, and stress reduction practices.

Note This program is designed for the new explorer or the seasoned practitioner who wishes to learn the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.

Note Please bring a hat and/or waterproof shell, sturdy hiking shoes, and a day pack with a water bottle and journal.
