Embodied Yoga and Ayurveda for Mental Wellness Ayurveda and the Mind,  Part 1

UNLOCK THE PATHWAYS OF PRANA

In Ayurveda, the channel of the mind pervades the entire body. Because of this, we can’t think our way out of suffering. The yoga and Ayurveda system invites us into a space of healing by experiencing ourselves through embodied practice. Together in community in the spirit of reciprocity, we will dive deep into the technology of yoga and Ayurveda to create a strong container ripe for inner and collective healing.

Join beloved Kripalu School of Ayurveda faculty, Dr. Scott Blossom, as he guides you through dynamic and restorative yoga practices so you can unlock the hidden pathways of prana (life force) and create a harmonious union between your mind and body. You will traverse:

  • Indepth study of Ayurvedic models of psychology
  • How the senses are massively important to our mental and emotional bodies
  • Develop personal and communal rituals of healing on the Kripalu’s sacred lands
  • Venture into the subtle landscape of marma—the body's energy points

Yoga teaches us that the outer form of practice is determined by the inner form (i.e., how the mind and the emotions are conditioned). The most potent influence on the body is the mind which is directly influenced by how your energy is conserved or dissipated in relationship to your five senses and desires.

NOTE Each morning there will be a community sadhana followed by dynamic yoga classes that include breathwork, sacred sound, and meditation. Days will be filled with classical Ayurvedic and yoga philosophy, and nights will be free. This program is eligible for 25 NAMA PACE credits.
