A Cook for All Seasons: Warming Winter Retreat

This program—developed and led by our own faculty with the Kripalu methodology in mind—is offered exclusively at Kripalu.

Ayurveda teaches us that true nourishment is determined by what, how, and when we eat, and that each season offers a time to find balance and health. Winter is the time to build immunity, support the nervous system, and find deep rest. Join us to explore the benefits of mindful cooking and eating, and gain nutritional insights from Ayurveda, and enjoy interactive cooking demonstrations and supportive self-care practices that not only promote healthy digestion but also a happy heart and mind.

In this program, you

  • Learn the basic Ayurvedic guidelines for choosing and cooking balanced, seasonal meals
  • Establish a daily self-care routine based on circadian rhythms to support digestion, sleep, and energy
  • Explore the world of spices and digestive aids to support balanced digestion
  • Discover foods that complement your unique constitution
  • Take home recipes, techniques, and seasonal shopping ideas to boost your health and confidence.
