Evidence-Based Tai Chi and Qigong to Cultivate Self-Care and Healthy Sleep

For all levels; no experience necessary.

Cultivate self-care and healthy sleep with meditations and exercises steeped in the wisdom of xiu shen, meaning self-cultivation and self-care. According to Chinese culture, xiu shen is the foundation for all of the ways in which we extend innate kindness: nurturing harmony at home, making positive contributions to our community, and being a warrior of world peace. It is believed that extending human kindness is the key element for living a long, happy, and fulfilling life.

With his fun, supportive, and insightful teaching style, Master Yang helps you foster the qualities of xiu shen through moving and stationary qigong exercises and selected tai chi movements. The practice is designed to improve sleep, reduce anxiety, boost immune function, ease trauma, enhance cognition, and promote balance. These powerful practices are rooted in ancient wisdom and have been demonstrated by modern science.

Return home with a simple self-care routine,  and ready to welcome more joy in your life.

Note Please bring clean (indoor) shoes to wear during class. Guest teacher Michael Sein will present a short sampler Saturday evening.
