The Five Animal Frolics Vitality of the Deer, Power of the Tiger

For all levels; beginners welcome.

The Animal Frolics, created by the second century doctor of Chinese medicine Hua Tuo, are the oldest qigong exercises still practiced today and the standard against which other qigong methods are measured. Learn a complete qigong wellness routine based on the vitality of the deer, the power of the tiger, the balance of the crane, the suppleness of the monkey, and the rooted strength of the bear. By practicing these ancient postures, we awaken a primal part of ourselves and the Paleo-wisdom of our ancestors. We find the spirit of the animals within and, like them, learn how to connect to the healing power of nature.

In this program, dynamic exercises are complemented by tranquil Taoist meditation. There is also ample time for discussion of qigong philosophy and science, including an introduction to exciting research that shows how and why qigong improves health.
