Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training

For 200-hour certified yoga teachers from any school or lineage pending approval by the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training Review Board.

Join the Forrest Yoga education program to learn the art of sequencing, how to teach intermediate and advanced asana for different levels, and ways to prioritize students with special needs and injuries. Taught by Ana Forrest with ceremony director Jose Calarco and a highly experienced teaching faculty, this training includes chanting, pranayama, intensive yoga practice, and hands-on assisting.

Each day begins with ceremony, song, and intention setting, followed by Forrest Yoga Intensives—advanced asana instructional training to give you experience with spotting, leveling, and modifying arm balances, backbends, hip openers, abdominals, inversions, advanced twists, and bound poses under the supervision of Ana and her assistants.

Afternoons are dedicated to improving teaching skills and working with the different injuries, abilities, and challenges that students bring with them to your classes.

This program may be taken as part of Kripalu’s 1000-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, or as a standalone program.

Note This program has an early start time of 4:00 pm on opening night. The Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training allows teachers from other yoga schools and lineages to join the Forrest Yoga education program to learn and understand the art of sequencing, to practice and teach intermediate and advanced asana for different levels and to prioritize the needs of students with special needs and injuries.
