Winter is here, and what better way to start the new year than with a Sunday evening cooking program that covers everything you need to know about making warm and comforting meals? Join Executive Chef Jeremy Rock Smith as he teaches how to prepare soups and stews—all with the Kripalu Kitchen health twist—that will nourish you and your family this season. 

On each Sunday of this live three-week online program, Jeremy will focus on a unique regional one-pot meal. He will explain key cooking techniques and review the best ways to prepare, store, and reheat meals to enjoy later. Additionally, you will learn 

  • How to prepare rich and tasty vegetable and chicken stocks from scratch  
  • The three foundational steps to making one-pot meals 
  • Techniques for soups, stews, and braises  
  • Methods for freezing, cooling, and reheating food safely. 

Whether you’re an experienced cook or just starting out in the kitchen, come prepared to laugh, learn, and have tons of fun! 

Note Recipes, shopping lists, and advance preparation lists will be provided in advance. You are invited to either cook along with Jeremy or sit back and enjoy the show. If you are planning to cook along, have everything ready to go when each session starts. If you would rather sit back and enjoy the show, get a feel for the recipes, take a few notes, and ask questions, a recording of each session will be provided within 72 hours of each meeting. You will have unlimited access to the recordings for 30 days, as well as an email contact for questions that may come up during preparation.
