AN EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP OPEN TO ALL
Join professor and interoceptive awareness expert, Cynthia Price, and psychotherapist, author, and creator of the Befriending Your Body (BFYB) program, Ann Saffi Biasetti, for a program designed facilitate deepening of inner body or interoceptive awareness. Cynthia and Ann will introduce the concept of interoceptive awareness, help you deepen this awareness, teach you how to tune into your own somatic sensations, and explain how to better facilitate body awareness and nervous system regulation.
Through yoga and individual and group exercises, this experientially-based workshop will introduce simple strategies for facilitating interoceptive awareness in individual or class contexts for those who are therapists, yoga practitioners, or mindfulness teachers. You will learn to
- Facilitate emotion regulation and embodiment, particularly useful for those who struggle with bodily disconnection/experiential avoidance.
- Develop strategies to address self-care, for your clients and yourself.
- Experience the role of interoceptive awareness in yoga.
NOTE This program is open to the general public and is particularly appropriate for healthcare professionals, including psychotherapists, yoga therapists, bodywork therapists, nurses.
