iRest Yoga Nidra Level 1 Teacher Training

Integrative Restoration (iRest®) Yoga Nidra is a profound mindfulness meditation that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being. It helps release long-held tensions, emotions, and beliefs, and allows you to realize your innate, unchanging connection to health and wholeness.

Learn a transformative healing meditation that can be used in personal practice, yoga classes, and clinical and medical settings. This program covers yogic principles and psychological practices, and includes

  • Emotional-cognitive work
  • Meditative self-inquiry
  • Interactive presentations
  • Sessions designed to help you teach yoga nidra while also enhancing your personal meditation practice.

Developed by Richard Miller, iRest Yoga Nidra has been hailed for treating post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain in soldiers and veterans. Evidence-based research is showing the efficacy of iRest for treating anxiety, pain, sleep disorders, and chemical dependency, along with enhancing health, resiliency, and well-being.

Note Tuition includes a manual.

This program may be also taken as part of Kripalu’s 1000-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
The hours from this training may be applied toward your 1000-hour yoga teacher certification if you have not already applied the hours toward your 500-hour Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher certification.

Continuing Education (CE)

Note Please register and pay for CEs at least two weeks before the program begins. Social work CE credits are handled through Kripalu. For PSY, LPCC, MFT, and RN credits, please go to iRest Institute CE guidelines.

This program has been approved for 31 Category 1 continuing education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR through the collaborative of NASW and the Boston College and Simmons College Schools of Social Work. Kripalu is not recognized by the state of New York to offer continuing education credits to social workers through the Collaborative of NASW-MA Chapter and the Boston College and Simmons College Schools of Social Work.

Approximately 30 CE hours* will be available for YA, IAYT, PSY, MFT, and RN.

The Spiritual Competency Resource Center (SCRC) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The SCRC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for license renewal by LCSWs, LPCCs, and MFTs from California for programs from American Psychological Association approved CE providers. LCSWs, LPCCs, MFTs, and other mental-health counselors from states other than California need to check with their state licensing board for approval.

California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP 16887) to sponsor continuing education for Registered Nurses (RN) in California. RNs from states other than California need to check with their state licensing board for approval.

Attendees requesting professional CEs who live outside of California are responsible for contacting their home state licensing organizations to see if there is reciprocity. iRest Institute is not responsible for the decision of licensing boards that lie outside the state of California.
