Iyengar Yoga and Beyond Playfully Unpacking the Principles

For students with min. 6 months yoga experience.

Experiment, explore, and play with the principles that make yoga an empowering personal practice. Carrie Owerko unpacks the specific principles that underlie and support yoga practice and inquiry, drawing from Iyengar Yoga and its intersection with basic human movement biomechanics and behavioral science.

When your yoga practice is guided more by process than thinking or dogma, those principles can serve as tools for transformative problem-solving and a means to cultivate a sense of possibility in body and mind. Learn how you can gain reliable access to the stable yet fluid mind that yoga helps to develop, making the shift from asking, “Can I do this?” to “How can I do this?” as you see a way forward.

This program may be taken as part of Kripalu’s 1000-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, or as a standalone program.
