LoveYourBrain Yoga Teacher Training Yoga and Meditation for Traumatic Brain Injury

For 200-hour yoga teachers and others with approval by the LoveYourBrain Foundation. Scholarship eligible.

The LoveYourBrain Foundation believes in the holistic and dynamic nature of yoga to meet the unique needs of each person with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and offers a national yoga program for the TBI community. This training is designed for yoga teachers interested in being certified to teach in the LoveYourBrain yoga program, as well as yogis, clinicians, and TBI survivors.

Receive hands-on experience with gentle yoga modifications, effective sequencing, and fundamental teaching tips to meet the specific challenges of the TBI community. This training includes

  • Meditation practices and pranayama techniques to focus the mind and calm the nervous system
  • Neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, the impact of TBI, and how neuroplasticity influences healing
  • The six-week FUNdamentals series to foster resilience and compassion and facilitate discussion, a unique feature of this program
  • Connections to the broader LoveYourBrain movement.

The LoveYourBrain Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of life for people affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI). LoveYourBrain was established by brothers, Kevin and Adam Pearce in 2014, four years after Kevin suffered a near fatal TBI from a snowboarding accident while training for the Olympics. Yoga and meditation have been critical for Kevin’s healing process. This catalyzed LoveYourBrain to launch a national yoga program to support the TBI community to participate in affordable yoga and meditation classes tailored to their needs.
