Mindful Creative Recycling: The Alchemy of Transforming Used Clothing

For all levels; no sewing experience needed.

Recreate your wardrobe by cutting, sewing, and fitting out-of-style, stained, ill-fitting, or otherwise unwearable clothing into a new favorite item. This mindfulness-based, hands-on retreat kicks off with demonstrations of restyling techniques. Then, Crispina ffrench offers individual consultations to help you devise a game plan, so you can get to work reinventing your worn-out clothes.

Please bring a collection of freshly laundered garments to restyle or swap with the group. This can include a favorite fabric scrap or piece of meaningful yardage to incorporate and share. You return home with a custom-fitted, wonderfully styled new garment of your own design and creation.

Note Tuition includes all materials, but you may also plan to bring your own small sewing machine or sewing scissors, if you have them. If you are interested in working on non-clothing reconstruction projects (i.e., blankets, rugs, wall décor), please contact Crispina at hello@crispina.com before the program.

“Crispina’s workshop exceeded all of my expectations. She is a wonderful teacher with a special mix of knowledge and warmth.” —Susan A.

“[Crispina’s program] changed my life. Since the week-long workshop, I have made more fun and practical pieces of clothing and home decor on my own. I am so grateful for her inspiration, kind guidance, and high ideals.” —Katie G.
