Movement is Medicine

For people with at least 6 mos. of yoga experience.

Explore how functional movement can heal and empower you in both your yoga practice and in life. Your body already knows what science continues to support: that movement is medicine. When movement is restricted for any reason, it can lead to poor posture, stagnant energy, and “myofascial grumpiness.”

Through discussion, Q&A, partner work, and a moderately vigorous vinyasa flow practice that can be adapted to different levels, you learn how to

  • Improve core connection and energy flow to enhance your yoga practice and reinforce better movement patterns in daily life
  • Remedy common imbalances through mobility and stability exercises and myofascial techniques that release constricted soft tissue
  • Create a strong and sustainable yoga practice by combining the concepts of stability, mobility, and adaptability.

Lara Heimann, a physical therapist, yoga teacher, and movement specialist invites you to move in multiple planes to elicit a strong connection to your core. Come find a new frontier of internal and external power—the greatest medicinal elixir of all.
