Prana Yoga for Mental Health

BUILD A TRAUMA-INFORMED CURRICULUM

Learn to live your best life by managing stressors and thrive in good mental health with yoga teacher Jeff Migdow and teacher and service-disabled veteran Cindy Beers.

Discover tools to help you effectively manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress while learning to heal yourself, and gain an understanding of how the body and brain reacts—and how this shows up in your day-to-day behavior. Through a variety of proven methods, including yoga, meditation, chanting, pranayama, EFT/tapping, chakra balancing, and more, learn to

  • Arrange, define, and state what anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, and stress are, how they affect the body and brain, and their long term effects
  • Understand, apply, and choose different practices and modalities that have an impact on the physical and energetic bodies
  • Apply a variety of teaching styles to assess and adapt instruction to individuals with diverse needs
  • Identify core themes—such as body positivity and self-compassion—and the different modalities and practices you can use in your own private practice.

Each program participant will practice, arrange, compose, and design a six-week curriculum to apply with their students or clients.

Note This program is suitable for yoga teachers, educators, and health professionals. Yoga teachers are eligible to receive 25 continuing CE credits from Yoga Alliance.
