Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training

For yoga teachers. Scholarship eligible.

Spend a week immersed in prenatal yoga, pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. Learn about prenatal anatomy and physiology, the journey of the growing fetus and how this produces changes in the mother’s body during each trimester. Participate in daily prenatal yoga classes wearing a “pregnant belly” to simulate the experience of moving in a pregnant body.

Class is followed by theory, practical application, and practice teaching.

Topics include

  • Fetal development
  • Physiological and hormonal changes in the mother’s body
  • Tools to help moms-to-be respond to these changes
  • Appropriate asanas, assists, pranayama, sounding, and meditation for each trimester.
  • Ways to market yourself as a prenatal yoga teacher.

Leave feeling confident about leading and sequencing a prenatal yoga class, including language, visualization, partner prenatal yoga, and hands-on assists.

Note Tuition includes a manual. This basic prenatal training is the first of a two-part Yoga Alliance-certified prenatal yoga teacher certification. Find out more about Yoga Alliance-certification here. If you are a doula or midwife with two or more years of yoga practice, please contact the director before registering. yogawithjacci@gmail.com
