This winter, join Executive Chef Jeremy Rock Smith from the comfort of your own home! During one-hour live online programs each month, Jeremy teaches you how to prepare comfort meals currently on the Kripalu menu. Through detailed directions, discussion, and lots of laughter, Jeremy will provide you with foundational cooking techniques. 

Dive deep into professional prep techniques while Jeremy makes complete and delicious winter meals—Kripalu guest favorites. Gain knowledge that you can transfer to many delicious meals down the road. Register for one—or all!—of Jeremy's monthly offerings.

February 1 Session: Taco Tuesday
Explore how to make the Kripalu Kitchen’s version of turkey or tempeh chorizo as well as knife skills, tempeh tips, and how to purchase, store, and prep avocados. Also whip up the perfect guacamole and learn the basics of rice pilaf and legume cookery.

March 1 SessionEat To Beat Anxiety and Depression, with special guest Dr. Drew Ramsey
Join Jeremy and special guest and author Dr. Drew Ramsey as they prepare recipes from Drew’s new book Eat to Beat Depression and Anxiety. Learn cooking tips and tricks from Chef Jeremy while Drew speaks to the depression-beating and mood-enhancing power of food. Create easy-to-make recipes in your kitchen and discover how to turn your food into medicine.

Note Because the emphasis of this program will be on preparation, pacing, and flow, plan to follow along with the recipes, take notes, and ask questions so you will be prepared to cook on your own later. Recipes will be provided, and class recordings will be available within 72 hours of the end of each session. You will have access to the video recording(s), as well as an email address for questions, for 30 days after the program ends.

This program—developed and led by our own faculty with the Kripalu methodology in mind—is offered exclusively at Kripalu.

Jeremy Rock Smith, Kripalu’s Executive Chef and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, began his career in classical French cuisine.
