The Yoga of Sound Tapping the Authenticity of Yoga

For yogis, meditators, therapists, and healers.

Sacred sound has played a profoundly influential role in the history of yoga and its development. Throughout yoga’s history, sound was used not only as a form of spiritual self-expression and communication, such as in mantric speech, but also as a form of sacred perception.

Immerse yourself in four distinct streams of sacred sound—vedic, tantric, bhakti, and nada—to form an understanding of the history of yoga in light of these ancient traditions. Through a combination of practice, experience, and understanding, you can tap into the authenticity of this ancient tradition, as you

  • Explore the healing and therapeutic aspects of sacred sound to develop deeper states of consciousness and transform negative emotional states
  • Discover how sound can complement not only asana, but also pranayama and meditation
  • Gain a deeper understanding of classic yogic scriptures such as the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Yoga Sutras.

Required reading Russill Paul, The Yoga of Sound: Tapping the Hidden Power of Music and Chant.

Note Before the program begins, you will receive a link to opt-in to a free online e-course sampler on the Yoga of Sound that provides current understanding of the streams of sacred sound in yoga.
