Yoga of Voice Training

For yoga teachers and practitioners; mental-health therapists; performers; public speakers; and teachers.

Yoga of Voice uses yoga postures, breath, guided movement, chanting, singing, and improvisational sound to cultivate embodied presence and personal power. Enhance your own voice, confidence, and teaching while learning to guide techniques that foster greater courage, calm, and creativity.

Through experiential practice, practice-teaching, lecture, and discussion, this training covers

  • Innovative ways to open the chakras and strengthen the solar plexus and throat—centers related to personal power and communication
  • Warm-ups, yoga postures, and vinyasa flows paired with sound to increase self-awareness, breath capacity, and energy
  • Exercises to better understand how breath and voice are related
  • Techniques to increase vocal ease, volume, resonance, and range
  • An examination of the evidence-based benefits of vocalization
  • Tools to address performance anxiety, reduce self-consciousness, enhance mood, and cultivate self-esteem.

Return home with the ability to share your voice with greater confidence and ease, and tools to help others do the same.
