Yoga therapy can be applied in a wide variety of mainstream settings, including hospitals and healthcare offices. In this training, you will learn the philosophical underpinnings of the evolution of yoga therapy in India and in the West, as well as a survey of the various tools used in yoga therapy, such as asana, pranayama, mudra, yoga nidra, guided relaxation, and imagery. Additionally, you will learn comprehensive integration of biomechanics and somatic movement, as well as anatomical and physiological knowledge of all the body systems. Focus on the development of individual yoga therapy sessions and learn to translate the principles and skills of the therapeutic relationship in a one-on-one setting with clients.
Through Therapeutic Yoga in Group Settings, you will be able to:
