Although nationally recognized as an actress for her recurring roles in HBO’s The Wire and The Corner, Maria Broom is also the author of The Village Bully, a storyteller, and a dancer with more than forty years of performing and teaching across the globe. A Fulbright Scholar, a former television news reporter, and a longtime Homa Therapy practitioner, she currently teaches dance and storytelling at the Baltimore School for the Arts.
