Instead of listening, we engage in “parallel monologues” about the “truth” of our different perspectives and find ourselves in conflict and polarization (rather than connection) with nearly everyone. Conflict and polarization have been going on for centuries, with everyone, everywhere.That will be over for participants in this workshop. You will learn how to connect with anyone, anywhere. Replacing parallel monologues by learning and practicing a new relational skill called dialogue, participants will learn to talk without criticism, listen without judgment, and connect beyond difference, with anyone, about anything.This 10-hour workshop is open to anyone who wishes to have efficient and connecting conversations with everyone: an intimate partner, potential partner, child, friend, workplace colleague, fellow worshiper, and persons with different political, social, and ethical backgrounds.
