KSMOL PRESENTS

A young body sits motionless against a gnarled maple tree… Keen senses register a soft bird call… A curious mind studies an animal trail, then scours a field guide… Industrious hands craft forts and fires… An adventurous spirit surmounts the treetops… Are these fitting descriptions of any children you know? Do you wish they were? Join seasoned naturalist mentors Devin Franklin and Michelle Apland, in a guided experience of deep intimacy with the land, as we practice the skills and learn the techniques that will help you effectively mentor the children in your life, so that they might grow into the fully alive, awake and connected beings they were born to be!

Come away with:
  • A thirst for practicing the Core Routines of Nature Connection - including Sit Spot, Wandering, Mapping, Tracking, Listening for Bird Language and Expanding the Senses
  • A bundle of games, songs and stories that kids (and you!) will love
  • A dynamic mentoring model through which you can observe and support each child’s unique progression through a series of predictable growth stages
  • A versatility to mentoring youth of various ages, from four to sixteen

NOTE: This program is for adults with a desire to learn the skills to guide young people outdoors. This is not a program for children.
