Gina Moffa, LCSW
Presenter
Gina Moffa is a licensed grief and trauma therapist in private practice in New York City. In the field for over 20 years, Gina has helped countless people seeking treatment for grief and trauma in settings such as nonprofits, hospitals, and now in private practice. As a grief therapist, she wanted to find a way to educate people about the many ways in which grief manifests, to help the experience be less debilitating for the long term. With that intention, Gina wrote the book Moving On Doesn't Mean Letting go: A Modern Guide to Navigating Loss (Hachette, 2023), which went on to win a Silver Nautilus Award. Gina has since been quoted in publications such as Forbes, TIME Magazine, New York Times, USA Today, as well as being interviewed regularly on NBC News. She also speaks on the effects of grief and loss at both national and international organizations with the intent of helping to create a more grief-literate society.
